That wont happen as it would be rather embarrasing for the current crop being given the run around by a bunch of pensioners ;)

I wondered who would bite first. You really need to lighten up you know. If you bothered to glance at the emoticons you would have realised it was a tongue in cheek remark.

I am not going to bother trying to argue with you over the merits of posting in jest as you seem to have as fixated a point of view as those you often disagree with.

Rather than blowing a gasket at everything you don’t agree with start taking things as they were meant, not how you wish to interpret them.

I accept it was in humour, but for all that is sane, change the record.

would love as many of the previous managers that have been in charge at s.t andrews and are still alive to go down the stadium and do something for charity

they'll be a procession and Jasper Carrot will be involved.

I think there should be

*A ticker tape display
*A raffle
*Guess the weight of the manager competition
*Soak the DJ (Johnson)
*Heskey to participate in the Donkey Derby with Ricky Otto, Kevin Francis and Mark Sale
*Some players running the beer tent, you can make your own decisions who would suit!

Oh yes and at half time we'll play a game of football against QPR.

Without wanting to start the wrong debate, again. A clear the air meeting with the board explaining their thinking behind the way they have run the club recently and laying down the exact criteria and goals for the short, medium and long term of the club and management.

Maybe it would sooth some of the hurt and distrust and stop the fans against fans and fans against club that has built up over the last few months. You never know it might subsequently improve the gates and atmosphere

Following that an exhibition match featuring a mix of old and new players against an other team, viler old boys would be a laugh.

Blow me

I thought 100 years was meant to be a time to celebrate and get merry on the good value alcohol that the club sell in there shops.

Well on Boxing Day we have the very important business of a HOME game v Queens Park Rangers (3pm KO) so I'm sure the club will plan some festivities before the game

We should thank the Football League computer for allocating a home game for us that day this season....a near full house would be a bonus being a popular day for larger attendances around the country

Does anyone know (or maybe make a suggestion to the club) if a special DVD or video commemarating 100 years at SA will be made

It's a shame there were no motion picture cameras around when that guy poured a bucket of petrol on the fire in the Main Stand after the Luftwaffe dropped a bomb on St Andrews during the Blitz years of 1940-1942 .....yes,the stand went up in flames very quickly

Then, there's the time the sprinklers came on during a match (v Coventry I think).....plus those glorious Cup runs of the 50's,60's and 70's

Come to think of it....maybe someone should torch the Main Stand AFTER the QPR game (when it's empty of course) ...I mean,it ain't changed much in 60 odd years has it ? :silence:

We should do "Phoenix From The Flames" (like in Skinner & Baddiel Fantasy Football thing) to recreate the 10 best goals ever seen at St Andrews.

Maybe they can track down Frank McLintock so that TF can skin him again.

TF would certainly feature prominently

His 40 yard free kick v Blackpool (1972)
The winner against Vile in the 3-2 win (1976)

Then there's Barry Bridges' overhead kick v Arsenal (FA Cup 1968)

Fred Pickering's diving header winner v Chelsea in the very next round

Christophe Dugarry's free kick v Southampton (2003)

I remember a corker from Kenny Lowe (v Chalrton) early 1990's

Michael Johnson's first ever goal. ;)

Once he scored that he couldn't seem to stop scoring.

I'm sure Enckelman's heroics at the Tilton Rd end in September 2002 would make a Top Ten goals list ....just for the sheer humour factor :P :P

You are joking aren't you. My ears are bleeding listening to the constant drip feed of anti SB brigade. They take almost every sensible thread and turn it into a vindictive attack opportunity. Inane and boring.

As valley said it would be extremely hard finding those old halfpennies or farthings .........in fact even the old style pennies (about three times the size of a 50p coin) are only valued at something like .4 of a new penny

The board should make it an even QUID or as many half crowns (2/6d) you can get a hold of from Nanny or Grandad.........However,you know the bad news is coming..........you are also required (no exceptions) to purchase the souvenir programme at TWENTY pounds
